## First stanza is not on the official lyrics and it's written in sanskrit. Transcription by ear, romanization, and Japanese translation (used for this English and Spanish translation) can be found here
## La primera estrofa no se encuentra en la oficial, esta está escrita en sánscrito. La transcripción de oído, romanización y traducción en japonés (utilizada para esta traducción en español e inglés) se pueden encontrar aquí
❋: The lotus flower grows in the mud and is refered as a flower that never stains in the second verse of this stanza. Rentarou's name, main character in Black Bullet, is written with the kanji for lotus thus why he says in the third and fourth verse "If it's like that, then why am I here? Even though I was born bearing that same name".
❋: La flor de loto crece en el pantano y en el segundo verso de esta estrofa, es describida como una flor que nunca se mancha. El nombre Rentarou, personaje principal de Black Bullet, se escribe con el kanji de loto, razón por la que en el tercer y cuarto verso dice: "Si es así, ¿por qué estoy aquí? A pesar de que llevo ese mismo nombre".

Hi!
ReplyDeleteI would like to know the lyrics in Japanese, the choir at the beginning of the song .. as this does not appear on any side
please if you can tell me ...
Hello, this part is actually not on the official lyrics but I've found out the lyrics that someone copied by ear. It appears that it's written in sanskrit, the person posted a translation in japanese, which I don't know how accurate it is but I've retranslated it into english and spanish. Check the updated post.
DeleteIt's actually two different Buddhist chants, one of which was heavily truncated. The parts in parenthesis were left out of the song lyrics:
DeleteOM
Vande Gurunam Caranaravinde Sandarsita Svatma Sukhava Bodhe Nih Sreyase Jangalikayamane (Samsara Halahala Mohasantyai Abahu Purusakaram Sankhacakrasi Dharinam
Sahasra Sirasam Svetam Pranamami Patanjalim
OM)
Which translates as:
bow to the lotus feet of the Gurus,
The awakening happiness of one’s own Self revealed, Beyond better, acting like the jungle physician, Pacifying delusion, the poison of Samsara.
Taking the form of a man to the shoulders,
Holding a conch, a discus, and a sword,
One thousand heads, white, To Patanjali, I salute.
The second part (Om mani padme hum) you can read more about here: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Om_mani_padme_hum

ReplyDeleteWoah, I was expecting Latin or something.
ReplyDeleteI can translate to some extent as I'm a Hindi speaker.
sukhava bodhe = realization of happiness? (98% sure)
nihshriyase jankari = without the wealth that is knowledge? (about 40%)
om mani padme = It's a Tibetan chant meaning 'The jewel is in the lotus'
NOTE- padme is lotus (100%)
