Kanji:

English Translation: Standing by the balcony farm you said "it's impossible"
While I made preparations to become your dream

Over there there's a white person, over here there's a black person
You grew a red tomato by chance

Riding on an aimless boat you'll obtain a radiant life
by the time you arrive to that nameless land...

Undoubting yourself, you are you
I'll become the brightest red tomato in the world
With a feeble heart you laugh gently
Tomorrow and over-morrow too, I'm sure I'll be thinking the same way
till death do us part
because life is limited

Standing by the balcony farm you said "it's impossible"
While I decided to become your dream

Why is life so fleeting? I know there's only once in a lifetime chance
Being forced to the edge, we call that fate

Undoubting yourself, you are you
I'll become the brightest red tomato in the world
and eventually you'll slowly eat me up
Tomorrow and over-morrow too, I'm sure I'll be thinking the same way
Hurry! Let the day when you eat this tomato, the day when you kiss me come

The sunlight from spring is more blue than what I had thought
You are no longer here but I'm still bashfully acting tough
and laughing

Undoubting yourself, you are you
I'll become the brightest red tomato in the world
In this feeble life, I'll always spray you water
Tomorrow and over-morrow too, I'm sure I'll be thinking about the same thing
Because even if death do us part, this feeling won't extinguish

y eventualmente me comerás lentamente

&& About the song (Rough translation from Mitsumura Tatsuya blog post): "The word "tomato" in this song can be replace to "dream", "love", "life"... it'll depend on each person. Within the passing days we are always nurturing something. Likewise there's also something that sadly withers. But whatever the outcome is we don't know how precious it is until the time comes. I dedicate this song to all those precious things.

During middle school, when I still couldn't write good songs, there was a friend of classmate that would always sing along my songs with me. We would sing as a duo, I sang and played the guitar while he just sang. He was always the one who understood best my songs. Looking back now, he was my greatest fan. He didn't join my band and joined another club but when I told him "I wanna make an album!", except during club activities in summer, he would spend all of his time with me helping out in the recording, and when I started talking about a funny future of the band, he would always laugh. Everyday went on just like this. "You really could make it big in music, Mitsu" - he would always tell me. "Let's work hard together" I would reply to him but slowly our paces started changing. By autumn of our first year in high school, he had distanced himself from the band. Nevertheless, when we had recorded a demo tape he was the first to listen and sang along with me like always. He was the one who gave me and my songs the most confidence. But during fall of our second year he passed away in a bike accident. My road became dark and I felt really lonely. Because even if I continue this and keep working hard on music, even if my dreams come true, the one with whom I shared the most my happiness is no longer here. But I kept making music. At that time, the dream I grew with him I didn't want it to go to waste. That's why, "tomato" for me is "music" and "dream". While singing I'm still think like that."
